Austria At A Glance

If the Sound of Music is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Austria, then you’re not alone. This picturesque country has attracted visitors for centuries with its charming villages, Alpine mountains, and wonderful blend of influences from its neighbouring countries such as Germany, Italy, and Hungary.

I was lucky enough to visit Vienna, Graz and Hallstatt while in Vienna, and I must say, Austria has quickly become one of my favourite European destinations. I’ll be going back very shortly, so keep an eye out for even more itineraries!

This image captures a descending cobblestone pathway in the charming town of Hallstatt, Austria. The path is flanked by a wooden handrail and leads towards the tranquil Hallstätter See, a lake nestled among alpine mountains. The view opens up to the iconic Hallstatt village with its traditional alpine houses and the prominent church steeple standing out against the clear blue sky. The mountainside on the left and the calm waters create a serene atmosphere in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
